The académie vivante is a public education center with a wide range of educational and training opportunities for people from the region, especially for marginalized groups.
Classes are mainly held in the first language, the local Berber language Tamazight, which is practically unique in the country and enables barrier-free access to education for all.
The cafe vivant'e attached to it is a cultural café with a gastronomic offer for visitors from near and far, and for the first time opens up an infrastructure and service for guests that has not previously existed in the wider area.
Currently offered services and main activities of the académie vivante:
a) Women's education (literacy courses, life skills, basic economic education) low-threshold offers in Berber language
b) Educational offers in sustainable tourism (courses and training courses with its own label FVTD = "formation vivante en tourisme durable"), low-threshold and in Berber language
c) Other course offers (including language courses, cooking courses, permaculture, health, ...)
d) Short seminar offers for guests from outside, on changing topics: e.g. pedagogy, permaculture, local culture and cuisine (in Arabic, French, English)
e) Café vivant'e: cultural café, bakery/confectionery and catering offer
f) Tourist information and meeting platform
g) Sales shop for local Products
h) Leisure activities (planned for later: cinema events, museum, readings, etc.)
i) Guest room rental
j) Rental of infrastructure (seminar rooms, catering and organization of events)
The offers are constantly being developed and adapted.
