The doors of the collège vivant'e have been open since September 2016. A new building in the traditional stone and loam style with modern elements was erected beside the primary school. Workshops, art studios, labs and classrooms offer space for an innovative dual learning system.
The secondary level offers young people the opportunity to attain the educational objectives from the 7th grade set out by the Moroccan curriculum, in an intellectual yet practical way. Accompanied by the teachers, masters and other specialists, knowledge is experienced and acquired in-depth. The path of autonomous and independent learning that began in the primary school is continued here. The child’s own personality is given the chance to blossom so that the young person can develop with meaning and fulfilment into the adults that they are by nature.
The collège vivant’e provides well-equipped workshops on the ground floor, in which technical and manual skills can be learned and an initial glimpse into various professional fields is afforded. These studio spaces are also used now and again as public youth centres, for adult education, for lectures and other events. The teaching areas and classrooms are upstairs. Each pupil can study here individually and in an industrious, concentrated atmosphere in a type of open office set-up.
The teachers see themselves as facilitators of knowledge and companions on the road to learning for each individual. Individual workspaces, computer desks, a well-stocked library, a foyer with a small kitchen and smaller rooms for group and project work offer a wide range of options. Individual rooms are also rented externally as teaching rooms or used for adult education.
